Adam Mitchell

6’2” - Goalkeeper

Home Town: York, England

Previous Team: Halifax FC (England), York City FC (England), Goole Town (England), Pickering Town (England), FK Mjollner (Norway), Selby Town (England)

Bio: Mitchell’s career began at 11 years old with York City FC, and for five years he represented the club at school boy level. At 16 years old he signed a three year contract with Halifax Town who in his three years the club gained promotion to League Two of the English Football League a tremendous achievement for the club. Pickering Town won promotion two seasons in a row while Mitchell won the Supporters Player of the Year as a semi professional before moving to Goole Town in the Unibond Division before making his first stop with Selby Town FC winning both the Players Player of the Year and the Managers Player of the Year. Joined FK Mjolner in the Professional Norwegian Division 2, before returning to Selby Town.

Richard Ott

6’1” - Goalkeeper

Home Town: Norwalk, Ohio (Norwalk High School)

College: Ohio Wesleyan University (NCAA III)

Previous Team: Cleveland Internationals (Super Y)

Bio: Ott is in line to take over the starting keeper position for the top ten NCAA Division III Ohio Wesleyan University squad this fall after being a member of the ’06 Final Four Squad and the ’07 team who made an NCAA record 30th tournament appearance. Played for Greater Akron Premier twice leading them to the Ohio North State Cup Semi-Finals, and the Tampa Bay Sunbowl quarter finals in 2005 and 2006 losing both times to fellow Chaos teammate Paul Klein and the IMG Academy. Split time in goal and as forward for Cleveland Internationals Super Y League team picking up two assists.

Ashraf “Ash” Ahmad

6’3” - Defense

Home Town: South Charleston, West Virginia (South Charleston High School)

College: West Virginia University (NCAA I)

Bio: Alumni of WVU Ahmad appeared in 57 matches for the Mountaineers in his four seasons, while earning Big East All Academic Team all four seasons he picked up 2 goals and 2 assists. In the 2005 Big East Championship season Ahmad played with fellow Chaos teammate Colby LaCrone before LaCrone transferred to Marshall University. Ahmad became the 2002 Charleston Daily Mail's Kanawha/Putnam County Player of the Year and was a two time West Virginia All-State selection, Ahmad enters his sixth season with the Chaos already as the clubs all time leader in appearances (63). For the Chaos Ahmad has scored three goals and picked up 11 assists with his career best four assists coming in the 2006 campaign.

Kashetu “Kash” Usman

6’ - Defense

Home Town: Arlington, Texas (Bowie High School)

College: University of South Carolina Aiken

Previous Team: none

Bio: Captain of United States International Team that finished third in Harlem Cup (England) and the Quarterfinals of the Gothia Cup (Sweden), was named Player of the Game versus Germany following a two goal performance. Led Bowie High School to third round of the Texas high School State playoffs while earning Honorable Mention All Region. In two seasons at USC Aiken Usman played in 30 matches adding one assist from defense.

Matt Dickerson

5’7” - Defense

Home Town: Warsaw, Ohio (River View High School)

College: Marshall University (NCAA I)

Bio: Has appeared in 38 games through three seasons at Marshall despite a shortened ’07 season when he missed the second half of the season with a knee injury. Instrumental in the Thundering Herd’s 1-1 draw against No. 17 University of Kentucky in 2006 when he played all 110 minutes. As a freshman Dickenson was named to the C-USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll. Earned First-Team All Eastern District Honors and First-Team ECOL in 2002, ’03 and ’04 while leading River View High School to the 2004 Ohio High School Regional Finals, led Ohio FC to two Ohio South State Cup Championships and the 2004 Region II Finals.

Victor Harrison

6’ - Defense

Home Town: Winston Salem, North Carolina (North Davidson High School)

College: High Point University (NCAA I)

Bio: Harrison returns for his third season with the Chaos, in each of the last two seasons he has played in 15 matches logging nearly 2700 minutes. Harrison was a regular starter from his freshman year at High Point University, was nominated for All Big South Conference honors and All South All-American, was a member of the Big South All Tournament Team while captaining the HPU team that finished ranked in the top ten runners-up in the Big South Tournament Championship, one step away from an NCAA tournament berth. Earned Millis Scholar-Athlete and big South Presidential Honor Roll. In 2006 Harrison was invited to attend the USL Men’s Player Showcase at Skyway Park in Tampa, Florida.

Kyle West

6’ - Defense

Home Town: Omaha, Nebraska (Millard South High School)

College: West Virginia University (NCAA I) /Ohio State University (NCAA I)

Previous Team: none

Bio: Named First-Team All State by the Lincoln Journal Star and the Omaha World Herald while leading them to two District Titles in ‘02 and ‘04. West led his NFC Real club to three straight Nebraska State Cup Championships, and represented the Nebraska State Olympic Development Program from ‘02-’05 cumulating in a ’05 selection of the Region II ODP squad. Saw action in 16 matches for the Ohio State Buckeyes including six in the teams ‘07 National Championship Finalist squad

Ben Chedgy

6’5” - Defense

Home Town: Somerset, England (Bridgewater College)

College: North Georgia College & State University

Previous Team: Bristol Rovers (England), Weston-S-Mare Rsus (England), Bridgeater Town (England), Bridgewater College (England), Somerset FA (England)

Bio: Led Bridgewater Town to the County Cup Championship before attending Bridgewater College where he led the team to the National Semi Finals and a 1st place finish in the Somerset League and a 2nd place finish in the South West League earning the County Player of the Year, College Player of the Year and Club Player of the Year As a freshman at North Georgia College & State University Chedgy was named the team captain and anchored a defense that kept seven clean sheets through the season finishing in the Peach Belt Conference Semi-finals.

Chris Bohach

5’11” - Defense

Bio: After a off season with trials with Charlotte Eagles (USL2) and the Atlanta Silverbacks (USL1) Bohach returns for his fifth season with the Chaos. Playing in a total of 47 matches in 4 seasons, made a career high 16 appearances in 2007 picking up his first career assist while playing defense.

Sterling Flunder

5’11” - Midfield

Home Town: Bothell, Washington

College: Marshall University (NCAA I)/Spokane Community College (NJCAA)

Bio: Flunder led Snohomish United to four Washington State Cup Championships and Sandpoint Strikers to another. A Three time Washington State ODP team and two time Region IV A team player Flunder was listed on Topdrawersoccer.com’s top 100 recruits in the nation list and was a 2003 Adidas ESP Member. In his first season with Marshall Flunder played in 20 matches scoring 3 goals, earned C-USA 2nd Team, C-USA All Tournament Team and Fairfield Inn Hilltopper All-Tournament Team.

Chris Whalley

5’10” - Midfield

Home Town: Lincoln, England

Previous Team: Brentford FC (England), Nottingham Forest FC (England), Reading Rage (USL2), Reading Rage (PDL), Great Britain Student Team

Bio: Whalley has played in 47 matches the previous three season with the Chaos. In 2007 Whalley played every minute of every match while leading the team in goals and earning Honorable Mention in the Eastern Conference. In 2006 Whalley helped lead the Chaos to their best record and a third place finish in the Mid Atlantic Conference while his seven assists were good enough for 4th best in the nation. Was a two time All-GLAC selection for Mercyhurst.

Dana Heimbecker

5’8” - Midfield

Home Town: Niagara Falls, Ontario (Westlane Secondary)

College: Marshall University

Previous Team: none

Bio: Enters his final collegiate season in the fall appearing in 42 matches his three years at Marshall University. His 5 assists in 2006 led the Thundering Herd while also being second on the team in goals, scored a total of 10 goals and 8 assists as wing midfielder for the Thundering Herd. Captained St. Catherine’s U21 team while on tour in Germany, and Heimbecker also spent time in Berlin, Germany training with Bundasliga junior squads prior to arrival at Marshall.

Paul Klein

5’9” - Midfield

Home Town: Newburgh, Indiana (Memorial High School)

National Team Experience: U17 USA National Team

College: Presbyterian College (NCAA I)

Previous Team: IMG Academy (Florida), Aguas de Lindoia (Brazil), U17 USA National Team

Bio: In 2005 Klein trained two weeks with Brazilian side Aguas de Lindoia, in 2006 Klein was selected to play for the USA U17 National Team. In his four years with the IMG Academy Klein was selected team captain, Most Improved Player, Coaches Award and picked up 3 goals and 13 assists in ‘04/’05. In ’03 led Javanon SC to the Kentucky State Cup Championship. A six year member of the Indiana State ODP team, in ‘04 led Evansville Elite Soccer Club to the Indiana State Cup Finals. As a freshman in ‘07 made 14 appearances for Presbyterian College.

Joseph Johns

5’11” - Midfield

Home Town: Charleston, West Virginia (Charleston Catholic High School)

College: Carson Newman University (NCAA II)

Bio: Johns enters his fifth season with the Chaos, still recognized as one of the youngest players to ever play in the PDL when he played in seven matches at the age of 14 in 2003. Scored 95 career goals while at Charleston Catholic High School earning him three times West Virginia All-State honors. In freshman year at Carson-Newman scored three goals in his 17 appearances while helping the team to the South Atlantic Conference Tournament Finals.

John Daniele

6’ - Midfield

Home Town: Columbus, Ohio (St. Charles High School)

College: Marshall University (NCAA I)

Bio: Appeared in 58 matches for the Thundering Herd over a four year career. 2007 was a record season for Daniele, earning 3rd team All-Conference USA as well as Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week and Soccer America Team of the Week for his efforts through the Sept. 26-30th week as he assisted 2 goals vs. Ohio Valley University, scored 2 goals including the golden goal game winner against Florida Atlantic University as Marshall played down three men in the double overtime thriller. Finished third in the team in goals (5), assists (3) and points (13), each personal bests. Led St. Charles High School to two league championships while team’s Captain and leading scorer. For his efforts earned First-Team All League, First-Team All-District, and Team MVP. Won three Ohio South State Cup Championships and made one Region II Semi-Finals appearance with Premier Adidas.

Avneet Shergill

Previous Team: JCT Mills (India), Ajax Orlando (PDL), Portland Timbers (USL1)

Bio: Scored 45 goals at Mountain View High School, led league his senior year. Selected NSCAA Junior College All-West Region Team for Tyler JC, scored nine goals in two seasons for Top 15 Junior College ranked program. Scored 7 goals, three game winners and added two assists at Marshall in 32 matches. Trained with JCT Mills of India 1st Division in 2007, his performance and India heritage placed him on the India National Team Watch List.

Michael “Vinny” Crumrine

6’1” - Midfield

Home Town: Wheeling, West Virginia (Wheeling Park High School)

College: University of Michigan (NCAA I)

Bio: A three time West Virginia All-State selection, Crumrine led Wheeling Park to the 2006 West Virginia State Semifinals, and was selected the 2006 West Virginia State Player of the Year, NSCAA All-American, and Gatorade All-American Crumrine enters his second season with the Chaos, in his first season Crumrine scored one goal in six appearances. As a freshman for the University of Michigan Crumrine picked up his first collegiate assist against Florida International on September 16, 2007.

Adam Arthur

Bio: Led York City reserve team in scoring and was promoted to make 5 starts for York City FC’s first team. In 33 games has scored 22 goals adding 14 assists at Lander University, earned the first week Peach Belt Player of the as freshman at Lander University in ‘06, would go onto lead the conference in assists (11) and add 15 goals, earning him All-Conference, All-Region, Peach Belt Rookie of the Year, and NCAA All-American.

Jack Burridge

6’3” - Forward

Home Town: South Shields, England

College: University of South Carolina Upstate (NCAA I)

Previous Team: Sunderland A.F.C (England), Darlington F.C (England), Newcastle Blue Star F.C (England), South Tyneside FC (England), Ashington F.C (England)

Bio: Already a tremendous soccer resume, the top scorer for Durham County School Boys U16, Durham County U18 and Boldon School. Led Durham County Schoolboys to the National Cup Quarter Finals and League runner-up. Led Tynesside FC to three league championships, two Cup Championships and was selected the Whitley Bay International Soccer Tournament MVP with 13 goals and 6 assists in 8 games. Scored two goals and added seven assists on the way to Centenary Shield Winners for the England U18 Schoolboys team. Scored three goals in 16 appearances to lead USC Upstate in goals as a freshman.

Andrea Kofinho “Kofi” Akyere

Bio: Trained as goalkeeper for Ghana U17 National Team, moved back to USA and begain playing the field. ‘05 2nd Team All Region at Truett McConnell while scoring 14 goals and 8 assists. Scored 12 goals and added 3 assists for USC Aiken while earning ‘07 Daktronics All-American Honorable Mention, Daktronics All-Southeast Region First Team, NSCAA All Region 2nd Team, Peach Belt Co-Player of the Year.

Kolby LaCrone

6’1” - Forward

Home Town: Zanesville, Ohio (Tri-Valley High School)

College: Marshall University (NCAA I)/West Virginia University (NCAA I)

Previous Team: none

Bio: Started 35 matches in two seasons scoring 10 goals and adding three assists for Marshall, in 2005 competed in 16 matches for Big East Champion West Virginia University alongside fellow Chaos teammate Ashraf Ahmad including both of the teams NCAA tournament matches. LaCrone still holds the Ohio High School State Record with 109 Assists and 18th in State with 108 Career Goals, he is also the first of two players in Ohio to record 30 assists and 40 goals in one season (34 assists, 46 goals). Three time Ohio South State Cup Champion with Ohio FC.

Tyler Bryant

5’9” - Forward

Home Town: Chillicothe, Ohio (Unioto High School)

College: Ohio Wesleyan University (NCAA III)

Previous Team: Orange County Blue Stars (PDL)

Bio: Scored 117 career goals at Unioto High School despite shortened junior year from a broken leg, sophomore season scored 38 goals leading team to State Final Four, senior year scored school record 48 goals adding 16 assists. As a freshman at OWU Bryant played in all 22 matches, scoring six goals adding two assists for the Battling Bishops. Earned Atlas Award for freshman of the Year as the Bishops went onto win their 18th Conference title and made their NCAA record 30th NCAA Tournament appearance. Scored both second half goals against 23rd Ranked Medaille College for 2-0 win giving him his first collegiate game winner, followed the next night with two goals in the 4-0 win over Alma College in the annual adidasฎ Invitational at Ohio Wesleyan University’s Roy Rike Field.

Jamal Geathers

5’10” - Forward

Home Town: Aiken, South Carolina (South Aiken High School)

College: Clayton State University (NCAA II)

Bio: As a freshman at Clayton State in ‘07 Geathers led the Peach Belt in both goals (18), points (39) and game winning goals (5). Averaging just under a goal a game with three multi goal games and one hat-trick. Was selected Peach Belt Conference Freshman of the Year, Division II All-Southeast Region First Team and Daktronics NCAA Division II All-American Honorable Mention. A three time All South Carolina High School Selection, earned All-Region four straight years, led South Aiken High School to the 2005 South Carolina State 4A Championship, scoring the championship game-winning goal. Selected High School All-American by StudentSportsSoccer.com and ‘05 High School Sports Report South Carolina State Soccer Player of the Year. A ‘05 Adidas Elite Soccer Program Invitee and All-Star. Led Aiken Fire to four straight South Carolina State Cup Championships and the National Finals in ‘02.

James Stapleton

5’10” - Forward

Home Town: Barnsley, England

College: Potomac State College (NJCAA)

Previous Team: Barnsley FC (England), Wakefield and Emley (England), Ossett Albion (England)

Bio: Scored 32 goals and picked up 18 assists while playing in all 26 matches for Potomac State College, earning NJCAA Region XX 2nd Team while leading Potomac to the NJCAA Final Four in ‘06 and was voted the ‘07 Region XX Player of the Year, Region XX First Team, and NJCAA 1st Team All-American. Appeared twice in the FA Cup preliminanary rounds for Wakefield and Emley against Thackley scoring the only goal for Wakefield and Emley in a 3-1 defeat, and for Ossett Albion played left back in a 2-1 loss against Bradford Park Avenue also played in the FA Youth Cup for Barnsley FC Academy.

Marc-Elie Mergena

6’1” - Forward

College: Coker College (NCAA II)/Manatee Community College (NJCAA)

Previous Team: Manatee Magic (USA)

Bio: Freshman varsity member of 30-0-1 Florida High School State Champion Manatee High School. Three year Captain and two year team MVP while earning Most Honorable Mention and Manatee County Player of the Year for South East High School. Current member of the ’08 Haiti U23 National team that was participating in the 2008 Olympic Qualifying tournament in California.

Ryan Villiard

5’11” - Forward/Midfield

Home Town: Holiday, Florida (Mitchell High School)

College: Catawba College (NCAA II)

Previous Team: none

Bio: Was named to the 2007 Daktronics All-American Third Team after leading Catawba with 16 goals while adding four assists in 19 matches. Finished his career with 23 goals and 23 assists while being twice named All-Region and All-South Atlantic Conference, during his career, Catawba earned three berths in the NCAA II Regional tournament with a four year record of 47-33-2. In 2005, Catawba advanced to the Regional Final losing in penalty kicks.

Previous Team: Nottingham Forest (England), Rotherham United FC (England), Chesterfield FC (England), Tacoma Tide (PDL)

Bio: A four-year performer on the Marshall University Thundering Herd Men’s Soccer Team from 2003-2006. He was a central defender, selected team captain and a four-year starter for the Herd. Letts played for Great Britain in the World Student Games. Prior to playing for Marshall men’s soccer program, Letts won the Nottingham County Cup in ‘98, while serving as team captain. Letts was a four-time Player of the Year recipient from ‘97-’00. He was a member and caption on the Nottingham County and South Notts County Teams from ‘96-’00. Until the age of 16, Letts played at Nottingham Forest Academy then went onto Rotherham United FC,, Chesterfield FC before coming to the USA and joining Tacoma Tide of the PDL in ‘06. Current Graduate Assistant Coach for the Thundering Herd Women’s Soccer Team.

Bio: A member of seven straight South Carolina State Cup Finalist squads with CSC Club earning Outstanding Forward. He led Irmo High School to two South Carolina High School State Championships earning All-State and NSCAA Regional All-American before going onto Costal Carolina University.

Bio: Signed professional contract with Wilmington Hammerheads of the USL-2 following a stellar high school and club career, led North Carolina with 52 goals his senior season at Parkwood High School, scored 106 career goals second best in school history earning All-Conference (3), All-Region and All-American. Led Charlotte Soccer Club to three North Carolina State Cup Champions. A member of the USA U15 and U17 National Teams.

Tom Gott

6’2” – Keeper

Hometown: Watford, England

College: Lenoir-Rhyne (NCAA II)

Previous Team: Wycombe Wanderers FC (England), Berkhamsted Town FC (England), Chesham United FC (England)

Bio: Played with Wycombe from ages of 13- 19. Won the Centre of Excellence player of the year in 2002. Made over 50 apps for the youth team, including reaching the 5th round of the FA Youth Cup (a club record), made 22 reserve team appearances, and was named in the first team squad 7 times. Helped secure Berkhamsted Town's survival from relegation, before joining Southern Premier League side Chesham Utd. Currently, Asst Men's & Women's Soccer coach at Lenoir Rhyne College, Hickory, NC. As a coach, Gott is the Assistant Coach for the Lenoir-Rhyne Men’s Soccer Team and oversees the team’s goalkeepers seeing the Bears allow just 13 goals in 21 games (0.62 goals per game) as Lenori-Rhyne put together its best year in school history finishing 19-1-1 with a No. 5 National Ranking in NCAA Division II. Lenoir-Rhyne also won the Food Lion SAC Tournament and advanced to the Regional Finals. Gott was in charge of the young goalkeepers at the Wycombe Wanderers Center of Excellence and gained his UEFA B Preliminary Coaching License.
